Conference Directions (Directions
to Sat. Banquet are below)
Nestled on Rodeo Beach in 180,000 acres of beach front park
land, it is hard to believe we are just 20 minutes from down
town San Francisco, 40 minutes from the San Francisco Airport
and 40 minutes from Oakland.
Heading North on Hwy. 101 from
San Francisco:
1. Cross the Golden Gate Bridge and take the Alexander Avenue
exit - the second exit. Merge right onto Alexander Avenue
(do not go left under the freeway).
2. Take the first left (in approx. 1/10 of a mile) at the
left hand turn lane.
3. Go straight to the tunnel entrance.
Then follow the Directions From Tunnel below.
Heading South on Hwy. 101 from
Marin County:
1a. Take the second Sausalito exit - the last exit before
the Golden Gate Bridge. Turn right and follow the road beneath
Highway 101. Go straight after the stop sign
2. Take the first left (in approx. 1/10 of a mile) at the
left hand turn lane.
3. Go straight to the tunnel entrance.
Then follow the Directions From Tunnel below.
Directions From the Tunnel:
4. Bunker Road passes through a housing area, drive carefully;
speed bumps!
5. Later you will pass below the old chapel (now the Visitor's
Center) and over a small bridge across the Rodeo Lagoon. After
the bridge the road makes a left turn and goes up a little
hill.
6. In the middle of the hill you will see a brown sign on
the right of the road, arrow points to the left down Mitchell
Road to Rodeo Beach and the Headlands Institute.
7. On Mitchell Road take the first right into our West Parking
Lot (first row is reserved for park ranger vehicles). See
the Campus Map above for locations of individual buildings
and dorms. (Our administrative building, Building 1033, is
west of the parking lot.)

Heading North on Hwy. 101 (coming
from Headlands Institute, Mill Valley, Corte Madera, Sausalito
or San Francisco):
Take the central San Rafael exit, turn right on 2nd St., go
straight three blocks & the road will change to Pt. San
Pedro Rd., follow it 4 miles, turn left on Biscayne Drive.
Heading South on Hwy. 101 (coming
from Novato, or North of San Rafael):
Take the Central San Rafael exit, go straight from the off
ramp four blocks, turn left at 2nd St., go straight three
blocks & the road will change to Pt. San Pedro Rd., follow
it about 4 miles, turn left on Biscayne Drive.
