MAIN CONFERENCE LODGING

The Headlands Institute is the main lodging for the 2006 MRA Conference. If you selected the registration option “with lodging” you will be staying at the Headlands Institute. Lodging will be available Wed. - Sat. night, and will include all meals; breakfast, lunch and dinner (beginning with Wed. dinner ending with Sun. breakfast) which will be provided by The Headland's Institute, cafeteria style.

Headlands Institute

Nestled on Rodeo Beach in 180,000 acres of beach front park land, it is hard to believe the Headlands Institute is just 20 minutes from downtown San Francisco, 40 minutes from the San Francisco Airport and 40 minutes from Oakland. The Headlands Institute is our conference location and housing option for the 2006 MRA Conference, offering pleasantly rustic accommodations. See the rooms. Most groups sleep in the women's or men's dorms which are heated, carpeted and have shared bathrooms. There are limited numbers of Semi-Private rooms (a $10 per person additional fee) which also have shared bathrooms but, unlike the dorms, sleep 4 or 6 to a room.

While guests are expected to bring their own linens (including towels, sheets, blankets and pillows), the Headlands Institute does operate a limited linen rental at $25 set (including a bottom sheet, sleeping bag, pillow and pillow case).

For teams that want a little more privacy, the Raven Dorm (which sleeps 56) has a conference room, dorm accommodations, and 4 semi-private rooms all in one.

NEARBY HOTELS

A few of the nearby hotels are offering room blocks and a discount for the 2006 MRA Conference. You must arrange your own lodging with the hotels directly. Please remember to tell the hotel that you are with the 2006 MRA Conference in order to receive the special promotional rate. You must mention that you are with the conference at the time of reservation in order to receive the promotional rate. We advise arranging lodging as soon as you can as the Bay Area in the summer is a great time for tourists – as you will see why!
